- An office assistant, from the Karen tribe, who is the accountant and manages the office.
- A Field Specialist, responsible for managing both the rural scholarship program and the follow-up services to former residents;
- Program Advisor: responsible for leading art therapy (both group and individual), counseling residents, life skills training, and overseeing the development of income generating activities
- Two chaplains, who are responsible for counseling, spiritual development, and the Christian activities within the Center.
- A Handicrafts/Income Generation Project Manager, from the Akha tribe, responsible for overseeing all the handicraft and income generation activities.
The New Life Center has the largest female tribal staff of any organization in Thailand , and all staff members serve as strong role models for leadership within their tribal communities. In Thailand today, few tribal women have had the benefit of higher education, yet the Center has been fortunate to recruit seven staff members with B.A. degrees.
Staff accountability The supervising body of the New Life Center is its Board, which is made up of representatives from the Mekong Minority Foundation, Thailand Lahu Baptist Convention, the Thailand Karen Baptist Convention, the Development and Agriculture Project for the Akha, and Payap University. Two representatives from the Thailand Baptist Missionary Fellowship also serve on the Board.
The Board of the New Life Center meets quarterly and sends minutes of its meetings, as well as financial reports, to all interested persons and organizations, including funding bodies. The Board is legally registered under the Thai Government for carrying out development work within Thailand.
The New Life Center provides an annual audited financial report and an annual written summary of its activities at the end of each year of operation. It also provides any written reports required for the various agencies that provide funding. (For more on the Center's funding, click here.)
